As you know, we are dedicating the entire month of June to celebrating the inspiring stories of cancer survivors across the country. This is just one small way we can honor the 11 million people who have fought this terrible disease and will celebrate more birthdays – thanks in part to people like you, our movement, and the American Cancer Society.
This week I want to share the story of a young family touched by cancer that was forced to travel a long distance to get the best treatment. Luckily, they were able to stay together at an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge® free of charge.
Hope Lodge facilities provide an incredibly important service to cancer patients and their caregivers to help them on their journey to get well, and we are so proud to celebrate the 40th birthday of Hope Lodge this month!
Please watch this story and then send it to your friends and family. Honor the cancer survivors in your life by spreading the word about what we're doing together to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
