Dear Randy, Want to know how you can help prevent cancer and create more birthdays? It could be as simple as choosing you! Choose You is a brand-new effort of the American Cancer Society that inspires women everywhere to put their health on the priority list. We all know that women are so busy taking care of everyone else – their kids, their parents, their spouses – but they don't always take care of themselves. Yet being healthy gives women more energy to take care of their families, helps them be better role models, and ultimately can give them more birthdays to celebrate. Choose You helps move women beyond being informed about good health to actually doing something about it. Ellen Pompeo, star of Grey's Anatomy, has joined the American Cancer Society, along with national presenting sponsors Sprite Zero and Walgreens, to rally women everywhere to choose themselves. Watch a video message from Ellen about Choose You and why it means so much to her. Today we invite you to help create more birthdays at ChooseYou.com, where you can make a commitment to eat right, get active, get your health screenings, quit smoking, and take better care of yourself. Then, you can enlist your friends and family members to support you! A small financial commitment (a donation to ACS!) helps make sure you are serious about sticking to your commitment. Research suggests that social support from friends as well as a financial commitment can help you be more successful at reaching your goals. You'll get tips and tools to help along the way. Together, we can help all women put their health first to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Birthday Cate You can catch Cate blogging at our Official Birthday Blog! P.S. If you're not a woman, you can still participate! Or, forward this to the women you love to encourage them to choose themselves!
