>> Big Island police arrested a Waikoloa man Saturday (December 18) for a variety of offenses in connection with car break-ins.
>> Police officers in South Kohala arrested and charged Brandon Charles Lipps of Waikoloa with six counts of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, six counts of fourth-degree theft, two counts of unauthorized possession of personal confidential information, one count of criminal property damage and for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
>> Police found Lipps with stolen property in a vehicle he was operating and were able to link the property to several vehicles that had been broken into between midnight and 6:30 a.m. on December 18. Police determined that the crimes occurred in the Paniolo Estates, Sunset Ridge, Elima Lani, Fairway Terrace and Golf Course condominiums near Melia Street in Waikoloa.>> Lipps is being held in the Kona cellblock in lieu of $18,050 bail. >> Police ask that anyone with information about any vehicle being broken into during this time period or with information about this incident call Officer Adrian Ruiz at 887-3082 or the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.
